Backend Foundation System

Authentication, user data storage and SDKs in one API

Neuctra Authix combines a user management API — email login, email verification, password reset and sessions — with per-user and app-wide JSON data storage, search and batch writes, so you ship features instead of backend plumbing.

Questions developers ask first

Including the ones where the honest answer is “no”.

What is Neuctra Authix?

Neuctra Authix is a hosted authentication and user data API. It handles sign-up, sign-in, email verification, password reset and cookie-based sessions, and stores schemaless JSON records for each user — so an application needs no auth service and no database of its own. It is used through SDKs for JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Dart and Flutter, plus pre-built React components.

How is Neuctra Authix different from Firebase Authentication?

Firebase separates Authentication from Firestore, so storing a signed-in user's data means wiring two products together and writing security rules. Neuctra Authix puts both behind one API and one SDK, and enforces ownership itself: an API key can only reach the signed-in user's own records, with no rules language to write. Firebase is the better choice if you need social sign-in providers or real-time listeners, neither of which Neuctra Authix has.

Is Neuctra Authix an alternative to Auth0?

For simple applications, yes; for enterprise identity, no. Auth0 covers SAML, OIDC, social login, multi-factor authentication and multi-tenancy. Neuctra Authix does none of those — it does email and password authentication with sessions, plus a per-user data store, at flat prices from $5 to $39 a month. Choose Neuctra Authix when you need accounts and somewhere to keep user data. Choose Auth0 when you need enterprise SSO or compliance certification.

How does it compare to Supabase?

Supabase gives you a full PostgreSQL database with row-level security policies, which is more powerful and more to learn. Neuctra Authix gives you a schemaless JSON store where ownership is enforced by the API, so there is no SQL and no policy language. Pick Supabase when you need relational queries, joins or self-hosting; pick Neuctra Authix when a per-user document store is enough.

Does Neuctra Authix support OAuth or social login?

No. There is no Sign in with Google, GitHub or Apple, and no OAuth or SAML support. Authentication is email and password only, with email verification and password reset. If social sign-in is a requirement, Neuctra Authix is not the right choice today.

Is it safe to put the API key in a mobile app or browser?

No. The account API key grants full authority over apps, users, and records. Keep it on a trusted server and have browser or mobile clients call a backend you control.

Is there a free plan?

Yes, and it is not time-limited. The free plan covers 3 apps, 1,000 users per app, 500 KB of data per user and 25,000 API requests a month, with no card required. Paid plans are Starter at $5, Pro at $15 and Scale at $39 a month. Hitting a limit rejects the request with an error rather than deleting data or billing overage.
